Founded in 1990, Zinner Consultants (ZC) has been at the forefront of sustainable policy and the green building movement. With a broad array of experience and expertise – public and private – ZC is uniquely positioned to identify opportunities for clients that result in solutions that are intelligent, realistic and cost effective. ZC’s approach has been validated by the successful completion of assignments and the retention of long-term clients such as Playa Vista and the Los Angeles Unified School District.

John Zinner, ZC’s principal, has developed and managed groundbreaking sustainable development and environmental mitigation programs for, among others, Whole Foods, Boeing Corporation and the City of Rancho Cucamonga.
John, a LEED AP since 2002, brings clients a broad environmental perspective as well as experience in policy development, project and program planning, and project management. His leadership has been recognized through numerous awards, and he has lectured nationwide before professional, university and public audiences, including an appearance on Good Morning America.
Prior to founding ZC, John founded and managed the Los Angeles office of an environmental consulting firm, and served as both Energy Coordinator and Planning Advisor for the City of Los Angeles Office of the Mayor. He holds an MA in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Southern California, and a BA in Political Science from The Colorado College.
